A resume should include information about degrees and education, professional work experience and contact information. Shives and Sanders offer three formats for a resume: chronological, skills-based or functional, or a combination of the two. Typically, contact information is listed at the top of the front page of the resume and name and a page number is listed in the header or footer of the following page, if applicable. If people have a professional website, they can include this information in their CV along with the rest of contact information. This information is typically included on the first page. Invited talks, such as keynotes, can be listed in a separate section from conference and other presentations, but this depends on the volume of items that people have in each category.
