ABSTRACT
I think reporters are often surprised at how much information people, particularly those without media experience, freely reveal to them in interviews just because they asked. The person being interviewed relinquishes control of the discussion and lets the reporter take over. It is as though he or she is a witness at a court hearing, dutifully answering all the judge’s questions.
