ABSTRACT
Three weeks had passed since Professor Raskin had failed to show up at his office. His mysterious disappearance baffled campus and city police. Members of the philosophy department's coffee klatch continued to speculate about the missing professor's fete, but Nicole had precious little time to think about anything except preparing and teaching her classes. Every so often, though, as she munched a quick snack in her office in the late afternoon, she permitted herself to wonder what had happened to her obnoxious colleague. Maybe she should be afraid for herself?
