ABSTRACT
The introduction offers some preliminary discussion of the cultural issues surrounding the AIDS epidemic, the politics surrounding the crisis and the medical difficulties People with AIDS had to face. It also defines some basic terms that will be used throughout the book. Finally, it briefly summarizes the content of each chapter.
