ABSTRACT

The Global Corruption Barometer Africa, 10th Edition by Afrobarometer and Transparency International reports that corruption is on the increase in Africa. A survey of Africans in 18 countries in 2019–2020 suggests that most Africans feel that corruption has increased in their respective countries in the previous year that they undertook the survey. Thus, it is observed that if most of these good were effectively or efficiently implemented, it could have reduced corruption in these countries rather the rise we see in them. Thus, to efficiently and effectively fight corruption in Africa, these suggested solutions should be well applied. In the process, some of these suggested solutions may be dropped, enhanced to make them workable. The author then defines what he means by “workable” solutions and offered some of these “workable” solutions to fight corruption. He further gave examples in African countries where these “workable” solutions have been applied and they have contributed to the successful fight against corruption.
