ABSTRACT

I spent some time in the early morning reading a novel that I had brought with me, sitting outside the cave, enjoying the sun and the antics of a pair of raccoon dogs that were scurrying around, looking for food. They weren't fussy: I watched them rooting out insects, frogs, lizards, snakes, and mice, as well as plants, berries, and nuts. But I didn't have a chance to relax for very long. The kabouter soon joined me and launched straight away into another story.
