ABSTRACT

Now that a candidate has successfully completed this degree, it is now time to apply the knowledge in the professional world. One of the options for post-doctoral work is in school systems. Depending on the degree, graduates can explore district-level roles surrounding curriculum and instruction or human resources. They can also qualify to become campus and district leaders. Understanding the professional and personal expectations of the positions in upper leadership in school systems will guide the graduate to be an influencer for change. The expectation is to use the knowledge and skill gained during the program to become a research or data-driven leader. This chapter will review some of the options for graduates in the public and private school sector.
