Coach Wooden often joked that if he had properly prepared his team for a game, he would just assume sit in the stands, eat popcorn, and watch the game like everyone else. Of course, for the Coach to feel this comfortable and confident, his team needed to be empowered to run the gameplan with minimal oversight from the bench. This principle is about empowering your team to perform at its highest level. As such tips for empowering your team are covered, as are examples from various organizations that may provide food for thought. Ways to have fun and lighten any tensions in your work environment are also reviewed. Lastly, as you contemplate your path ahead, reflection points for making the best of challenging situations, finding meaning in your life, and defining your desired legacy are highlighted.
