ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the issue of simple (artists, creators, managers, leaders, and entrepreneurs) and complex (artists-managers and artists-entrepreneurs) creative identities (definitions, classifications), their self-perception and perception by society, as well as problems related to the multiplicity of identities functioning within an individual – especially creative individuals – i.e., identity tensions, paradoxical thinking, identity crisis. Similarities and differences in simple creative identities of artists, managers, and entrepreneurs are revealed. The chapter also presents the results and conclusions of undertaken quantitative and qualitative research on the identity and perception of simple and complex creative identities and the challenges in identifying these identities.
