ABSTRACT

This chapter explains Wendy’s method for developing social emotional learning (SEL) skills in each competency of the Casel model. She shares her three-pronged approach, consisting of proactive, in-the-moment, and reflective practices for SEL development. Wendy also shares how this approach works in her personal life with a common challenge, her inability to cook. Her relatable and authentic tone engages readers and helps them foster connections to their own personal lives.
