ABSTRACT

The usage of Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) has certain limitations and challenges. Though there are a few challenges, LCCA is gaining importance as a decision-making tool because of various reasons. This chapter explains how the concept of LCCA is gaining popularity as a sustainability tool. Also, a way forward has been suggested in how LCCA can contribute to asset management, total productive maintenance (TPM), government decision-making, and project management.
