ABSTRACT

One thing for certain in today's world is that solving problems is something the people all face every day. One of the primary reasons people have difficulty solving problems is that they truly don’t understand the nature of the problem. Problem-solving need not be a difficult, time-consuming ordeal, but that is exactly how many people perceive it. The problem description builds the foundation for the problem-solving activities that will follow, so it must be as complete and accurate as possible. Solving problems is the culmination of many different activities, one of the most important of which is developing a list of symptoms related to the problem being solved. Many times, problems are the direct result of changes that have occurred prior to the new level of performance. When problems are discovered and investigated, a chain of events usually always leads to the problem source or the root cause.
