ABSTRACT
Urope emerged from the Reformation with all its old unity broken. We have now to see how the various creeds and nationalities went their respective ways. The seventeenth century shows us the Thirty Years War in the Empire; the assimilation of the Huguenots, and a great revival in France; and in England the rise, eclipse, and resurrection of Anglicanism.
