ABSTRACT

In January 1960 a crack agent of the Israeli Secret Service arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with instructions to try to establish the true identity of a certain Ricardo Klement, a German national who had settled there with his family ten years earlier. After locating the house in which the Klement family were living, the investigator managed, with the help of a long lens, to take several photographs of Ricardo Klement without arousing his suspicions. A careful examination of the photographs back in Israel confirmed to the satisfaction of the Secret Service that Klement was the man they were looking for, and a team of four volunteers was sent to Argentina to abduct him to Israel to stand trial.
