ABSTRACT
Anger, we have seen, is at once an ally and a foe of the moral life. It strengthens and defends the family; and yet turns husband against wife, brother against brother, parent against child. It supports the law, and the law-breaker. It assists at the building of the State, and resists its building, and attacks and destroys it when built.
