ABSTRACT

Just between West Palm Beach and Jupiter sits the city of Palm Beach Gardens. Growing significantly in population between 2010 and 2020 by over 20%, its total population now sits at slightly over 59,000, comparable with several other cases, such as Tinley Park and Marietta. The city utilizes nonpartisan elections and a council-manager government, which comprises three at-large council members, a vice mayor, and a mayor. A predominantly wealthy community, its median household income is almost $88,000, and its median property value is almost $380,000. The wealth of the city has grown exponentially over the last 12 years, which is notable because the push for term limits in Palm Beach Gardens began in 2010.
