ABSTRACT

This chapter explains the research behind what works for teaching children with learning disabilities, or dysgraphia. The parts of the writing process are explained as well as the most common areas in which children with dysgraphia struggle. In addition, the research on what works best for writing is reported, which includes Self-Regulated Strategy Development, (SRSD), which is an evidence-based practice for students with learning disabilities in writing interventions. Resources to learn more and support your child are provided.
