ABSTRACT

The boundary of your site creates an interface with its perimeter. Sometimes the boundary line is clear, as a fence or a river, but often the threshold is less well defined. Views out to the areas beyond can form important vistas and may act as design drivers. Views into the site can also be significant; consider how your design proposal will be seen from the surrounding areas. The interface between your site and its surroundings is important and will need constant review throughout the design development process.
