ABSTRACT

Part IV has two chapters related to victims’ families talking about their perspectives. Chapter 8 introduces several family members of victims of murders by juveniles. Each profile shows how their lives changed and how they expressed their anger and grief. One sister of a murder victim, Jennifer Bishop-Jenkins, started the National Organization of Victims of Juvenile Murderers to provide help and support for other victims. Then this chapter hears from several prosecuting attorneys who talk about their intent to speak up for the victims. A final victim, the mother of a murder victim, tells about how she forgave the man who killed her son.
