ABSTRACT
Chapter 13 provides a glimpse into what happens to juveniles when they are housed in prisons with adult offenders. Opening by introducing several youth who went to adult prisons, the brutality and the cruelty of placing vulnerable youth in adult prisons are explored. This discussion necessarily leads to a call for reforms that should lead to keeping all juveniles out of adult prisons.
