ABSTRACT

When something ends badly – like an important relationship – it is only natural for a person to focus on their most recent experiences; the experiences which maybe were unexpected and therefore hurtful or upsetting. At these times it can be hard to remember the good times. As time moves forward the emotional pain will ease and it will be possible to remember the good times and experiences. Using the time capsule is a way of enabling this. The client remembers the positives about the person/relationship and is encouraged to talk about them before putting them in the time capsule, which stores the memories and can be returned to at any time.
