ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a detailed discussion of per capita health expenditure in comparison to other countries and southeast nations. It looks into expenditures by governments, primary, secondary and tertiary cares. It analyses both the availability and utilisation levels for different income groups of Indian states. Thus, in the process the various dimensions of care, out of pocket expense and component wise care are also analysed.
