ABSTRACT
Except for literature, the development of which has no true end, other fields of study in Chinese academics reached their zenith in the Qing Dynasty. Confucian classics studies should make progress by comparisons with the source. Philosophy seeks progress with senses and self-improvement. Literature achieves progress through emotions and rules.
