ABSTRACT

From the unearthed documents of the Han Dynasty, the use of language may be from different eras during the same period. The logical meaning of words often needs to be summarized by analyzing multiple use cases, and unearthed documents can make up for the shortcomings of handed-down documents, making interpreting the meaning of some ancient words more accurate. A scientific study of the development history of Chinese vocabulary should first identify the various stages and boundaries of the natural evolution of the vocabulary system, and then analyze the dynastic system and its gradual changes. The development stage of the vocabulary system does not necessarily coincide with the era of the historical dynasty, so the so-called dynastic study based on the era of the historical dynasty is not a true dynastic study of the history of vocabulary development. Due to limitations in genre, quantity, and other factors, research on the history of Chinese vocabulary based on handed-down documents must resort to general narration. Nowadays, there are many unearthed documents, and uninterrupted sequences have been formed. Therefore, research on the refinement of vocabulary development history should be the direction of future research into vocabulary history.
