ABSTRACT
So far, the term “木关” has appeared five times in Han bamboo slips. “木关” refers to a wooden bend or bent crossbow wood, which means bow and crossbow. In the Northwest Han bamboo slips, “关戾” has appeared four times, and 关 and 戾 are synonyms used together to indicate “bending”.
