ABSTRACT

“行胜” is generally believed to share the same meaning as “行縢”, which means leggings. Actually, “行胜” is a headscarf worn during the Han Dynasty during long-distance travel. Up to now, there have been roughly five inaccurate explanations of “常韦”. “常韦” refers to leggings. Leggings are a lower garment in ancient times, and 常韦 is the 韦 of the garment, also known as the soft skin of the lower garment.
