ABSTRACT
The investigations described in the preceding chapters led to the identification of important structural components of problem solving processes, which were identified on the basis of the total amounts of use made of various problem solving behaviors which were applied by individuals in their attempts to solve different types of tasks. The concern was to assess the importance of certain types of behaviors as functional elements of the performance.
