ABSTRACT

The next level of working with Creative Sound Play is transferring all of the 12 Sound Activities previously learned with body parts and voices to a variety of handheld percussion instruments—drums, hand drums, shakers, cymbals, finger cymbals, triangles, tambourines, wood blocks, guiros, bells, hand bells, cowbells, claves, and maracas. This assortment of hand percussion instruments represents a wonderful variety of sounds and textures to work with, much like a small orchestra.
