ABSTRACT

The conclusion travels through the main points of all five chapters. The first chapter concentrates on the IDEA, cases, and the high incidence of disabilities; the second chapter discusses major education policies and the impact they have had on RELD students in special education; the third chapter dives into culturally sustaining practices and how CSP can help remedy overrepresentation issues in special educations; the fourth chapter discusses issues surrounding the lack of parental advocacy and the influence cultural reciprocity can have on communication and collaboration between parents and educators; and last, the fifth chapter focuses on the importance of a positivity mindset when teaching.
