ABSTRACT
Here at the end of our book we finish a thought we started at the beginning. It’s not our thought. It’s Richard Wright’s thought. And while we remain leery of appropriating black thinking or uncritically fetishizing people of color, we return to Wright’s writing for two reasons that are different than that. First, Wright’s writing inspires us (and has for years). Next, Wright’s writing is brilliant.
