ABSTRACT
Based on the insights collected in this book, the following chapter formulates several recommendations for the beneficial application of the Oedipal model in work with same-sex families, and new families more generally. The position I lay out seeks to profit from the richness of Oedipal theory, while paying careful attention to the different ways in which it is embodied in diverse family circumstances.
