ABSTRACT

Audits are a blend of both but are narrow in scope as they deeply investigate a single aspect of school functioning. If the assessment demonstrates that only parents from a particular income group attend school events, the people understand how school practices influenced that finding. Assessment team leads will create task forces of four to five people to help manage the additional work. Quantitative data is often supplemented with qualitative data to explain numerical findings. The tricky part of assessment is determining the implications of findings by synthesizing findings to make conclusions. Transparency is critical to maintaining communal trust and for ensuring the efficacy of the equity action plan.
