ABSTRACT

It has to be true, right? I mean, there are some things we should not have to spend our time looking up statistics on because they just make sense. Though I knew my impromptu research would be lacking both validity and reliability in the empirical sense, I checked out my hypothesis with my brother-in-law Tory, who coached our Judson University Women’s Basketball Team to five NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) National Tournaments within a nine-year period. When I asked him if my chapter title rang true, his response as a former championship coach was, “most definitely. It makes all the difference.” And it does. It makes all the difference on the court, and it makes all the difference in our schools.
