ABSTRACT
What relationship exists between critical infrastructure and sustainable development? What paradoxes does critical infrastructure imply and why are they the solution but also a hindering factor to the social, environmental and economic problems to which they should contribute? This chapter will address the links between megaprojects, critical infrastructure and their contribution to sustainable development.
