ABSTRACT
A number of problems exist in trying to present these data on intellectual levels in the aged. Several different measures have been used by investigations, age cut-off points have varied from one investigation to another, sampling, to say the least, has been haphazard and various forms and amounts of data presented. Despite these and other limitations of the investigations of intellectual functioning in the aged, an attempt will be made to present the data and its implications.
