Robert Dell, ‘Introduction’ to Modern French Artists

Dell, who lived in France, was art correspondent for the Burlington Magazine. He was asked to supply pictures for the recently opened Brighton Galleries which included the work not only of plein-airistes and Impressionists but of those painters who were variously named neo-Impressionists, Symbolists, Pointelistes (sic) and Intimistes.
