Henry Holiday, ‘Post-Impressionism’

Holiday (1839–1927) began exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1858. He illustrated Lewis Carroll’s Hunting of the Snark but was best known for his Dante and Beatrice (1883) now in the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
