C. Lewis Hind, ‘Ideals of Post Impressionism’

Hind, who had championed Matisse in 1910 (see headnote to no. 34), was extremely hostile to Picasso’s cubist work in 1911 and expressed similar reservations about Picasso’s work in the second Post-Impressionist exhibition.
