ABSTRACT
Under the acronym EBA – European Battery Alliance – entrepreneurs, researchers, local politicians, start-ups and financiers are invited by the EC to share knowledge, start co-creations and co-invest. The whole chain – research, raw materials, suppliers, producers, clients and recycling – has to be built from the ground up. The commission’s ambition is to accelerate the EU towards a leading position on the battery market by developing a legal standard for the whole chain, with special focus on sustainability, re-use and recycling, as well as clean and safe production.
