ABSTRACT
How much power do the Lobby correspondents have within British politics ? This and other questions about the power of the press and the media within politics are very unlikely to be answered in the light of current knowledge about politics. Adequate answers could only be made in the light of systematic evidence upon:
Political power in general — including the power of various kinds of legislators.
The political power of the media at large.
The power of specific groups within the media.
