ABSTRACT

Aged 75, Mary Stott is widowed with an adult daughter and two grand-daughters aged 17 and 13. She is British, and a member of the Fawcett Society, the National Council of Women, and the Women’s Action Group. A journalist throughout her life, she retired in 1972 from the Guardian, though she still writes occasionally for the Guardian and for various books, and is involved in broadcasting. She has also written three books, two of which are: Forgetting’s No Excuse (Faber & Faber), and Organization Woman (Heinemann).
