ABSTRACT

Gloria Bowles is Co-ordinator of Women’s Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Her doctorate was in comparative literature. Married at twenty-five, divorced at thirty, she is now forty, and lives ‘happily alone’. Gloria has edited (with Renate Duelli Klein) a book on the development of women’s studies as a discipline in its own right published by Routledge & Kegan Paul in 1983 and is finishing a book on Louise Bogan the poet.
