ABSTRACT

Curriculum content is often delivered partly via the materials we give to students to use. These materials may be textbooks, worksheets and equipment, but are increasingly likely to be various digital resources. This chapter explores factors that need to be considered when selecting or creating learning materials. Particular attention is given to using traditional textbooks, adapting worksheets and online study notes, and using e-learning as a resource. An example is given of a multipurpose/multilevel differentiated worksheet that can be used in inclusive class. Advice also covers adapting non-print resources. Consideration is given to the place of assistive technology for students with sensory or physical disabilities.
