ABSTRACT
On March 25, 2021, 9.00 a.m., Madhumita Gogoi, Head of Institutional Equity Research at PerfectPoint Investment Partners, was waiting for Sanjana Singh to join her for a scheduled Zoom meeting. While waiting, she glanced through her notes and spreadsheet workings from her meetings with her Oil and Gas and Telecom analysts over the last two days. PerfectPoint was a Mumbai-based Investment Advisory and Research firm with a global client base. Its clients include Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, and select Endowment Funds. Most institutional clients had a long-term investment horizon and wanted to invest in stocks of a growing business with solid fundamentals run by capable management.
