ABSTRACT

The behavioural model focuses our attention upon the classroom and its events as an environment which is specifically designed to help children learn. Moreover it is the one which the teacher influences directly. She takes decisions about curriculum content and the related activities which she and her pupils will undertake. She arranges the room, its furniture and materials accordingly. Most importantly, she then behaves towards her pupils in certain ways and asks certain behaviours from them. In behavioural terms, she manages the setting events and consequences from which children learn.
