ABSTRACT

The great investment of time and energy by professionals over many years in research, development and daily practice in the classroom and the clinic have resulted in a pedagogic cornucopia. However, the existence of this cornucopia does not imply that a panacea to the alleviation of all learning difficulties is either known or available. As noted earlier, whether or not this potential resource can be drawn on and further developed, to the benefit of pupils with SpLD, is largely a political and financial issue. It is not an educational one.
