ABSTRACT
The relationship between theory and practice is analogous to that between Siamese twins. This book aims to inform practitioners and interested lay readers about both. It focuses on the challenges presented, and responses made, in many different areas of research and practice to the conceptualization, identification and alleviation of specific learning difficulties. Its purpose is to stimulate discussion and action in all these areas.
