ABSTRACT
The term ‘witch hunt’ has come in our time to mean a search for scapegoats, the hounding to destruction of innocent people in a bid to uncover and eradicate some imagined conspiracy. Many of the minority groups described in this book were at one time or another victims of this kind of mentality; none more so than witches themselves.
