One executive once stated: ‘restructuring is like planting asparagus: you know you should have started three years ago’. 1 Restructuring implies handling various social and economic relationships at the same time. A change in one relationship inevitably affects the other relationships as well. Thus, restructuring decisions usually require a broad scope and a long-term perspective.
