Thomas Forde, ‘[Lines] with Herberts Poeme' 1660

As the poetic tributes to Herbert continued apace, the distinctly minor versifier Thomas Forde attempted yet another one in 1660. In this case, as in others like Daniel’s (No. 14), the enthusiasm for Herbert is palpably evident. See also above, p. 12.
